We usually "authorize" your card, which means that we validate (not actually charge) your account to ensure that you have sufficient credit to cover your stay. However, credit card processors charge a commission for each payment which we need to pass on to you, usually between 3-5%. In order to keep our rates low, we will shortly give you the option to pay with cash, check, Venmo, or Cash App without the surcharge.
